The Shields-Ethridge Farm is an outdoor historical museum located 50 miles from Atlanta and 12 miles from Interstate 85 in northeast Georgia.
The Farm is open to the public (by appointment) and hosts everything from regular seminars, scheduled seminars, and tours that showcase the Farm's historic buildings, including a cotton gin, blacksmith shop, fully-stocked commissary, wheat house, grist mill, and restored schoolhouse. All of these historic, agricultural buildings lie in their original location amid 150 acres of historic farmland originally established in 1800. Portions of the farm are still used today for agricultural purposes
Visitors can view a fascinating and extensive collection of original
and historic farm equipment including a working Titan 10 Engine
c. 1913, Cotton Gin Machinery c. 1930, and a Meadows Grist Mill
patented in 1908. The Farm has been featured in many publications
